LMIA-based work permits

Value Visa helps workers and employers review LMIA-based work permit applications, job documents and immigration requirements from Toronto.

Planning your application

An employer's labour market process and a worker's permit application are connected, but they are separate steps. The job offer, employer documents and worker's background need to align before an employer-specific application is prepared.

How Value Visa can help

We discuss the proposed role, review the available LMIA and employment records and help organize the worker's supporting evidence. Employers should bring recruitment and business records for review rather than assuming a job offer alone is enough. A positive LMIA is not a work permit or a guarantee of approval.

Your review is specific to your circumstances. We explain the proposed work and confirm fees in writing before beginning. Government fees are separate.

Documents to discuss

Bring the records you already have to the consultation. This starting list does not replace the personalized checklist for your application.

  • Job offer and employment agreement
  • LMIA decision and associated documents, if available
  • Passport and current status documents
  • Qualifications, work history and employer information

For the initial inquiry, describe your situation and deadlines. Ask us how to share sensitive documents before emailing identity or financial records.

Frequently asked questions

Can I begin working as soon as an LMIA is approved?

Do not treat the LMIA itself as permission to work. Your existing authorization and the work permit requirements must be reviewed before you start or change employment.

What will a consultation cover?

We discuss your goal, immigration history and the documents available, identify questions that need further review and explain the scope of assistance. Fees are confirmed in writing before work begins; government fees are separate.

Can Value Visa guarantee approval or a processing date?

No. IRCC makes immigration decisions, and processing times can change. We help prepare a complete, consistent application and explain the next steps without promising an outcome.
