Planning your application
The travel document you need depends on your citizenship, immigration status and how you plan to arrive in Canada. An eTA and a visitor visa are not interchangeable, so it is useful to resolve that question before booking around an assumed approval.
How Value Visa can help
We review your passport details, travel plans and any prior immigration issues that may affect the application. If a past refusal or an unanswered application is involved, provide the correspondence so that the advice reflects the full history.
Your review is specific to your circumstances. We explain the proposed work and confirm fees in writing before beginning. Government fees are separate.
Documents to discuss
Bring the records you already have to the consultation. This starting list does not replace the personalized checklist for your application.
- Passport to be used for travel
- Citizenship and immigration status details
- Travel plans and previous Canadian documents
- Prior refusal or application correspondence
For the initial inquiry, describe your situation and deadlines. Ask us how to share sensitive documents before emailing identity or financial records.
Current official guidance
Requirements, fees and processing information can change. Use the official instructions alongside advice about your own circumstances.

Does an eTA guarantee entry to Canada?
No. Travel authorization does not guarantee admission. Border officials assess entry when you arrive, and your documents should match your travel purpose.
What will a consultation cover?
We discuss your goal, immigration history and the documents available, identify questions that need further review and explain the scope of assistance. Fees are confirmed in writing before work begins; government fees are separate.
Can Value Visa guarantee approval or a processing date?
No. IRCC makes immigration decisions, and processing times can change. We help prepare a complete, consistent application and explain the next steps without promising an outcome.
